Born in the Midwest and reared overseas, I have been a resident in Virginia since 1992. I received an Associates Degree in Fine Arts and a certificate in Graphic Design in 1999 from Tidewater Community College. I earned my diploma while working full-time. Having worked in the commercial printing business as a pre-press graphic artist, I combined my work and educational experiences and began Artzy-One Studio, in March 2001.

My husband and I share our home with a few indoor cats, a Rex house-bunny and two Golden Retrievers. “I have two 'golden' bookends near my desk everyday and a cat that always lets me know when it's 4 o'clock by stealing the Wacom pen from my hand.”

I have always loved photography. Was always the one behind the camera. This year (2007) it will be officially part of my professional career. I'm very excited about it.

As you can tell, I'm an animal lover. There is just no other way to describe it. I come by it naturally and from a few generatons of animal lovers. I just recently morned the death of my Dutch rabbit, Bailey. It was a sudden death that took him before he turned 3 years old. I was really taken back by the experience. Are you a sports fan? I love ice hockey. We are fortunate here to have an AHL team, the Norfolk Admirals. Good thing my husband loves hockey too!

For the past year or so, I have been taking oil painting lessons. Soon I should have enough paintings to have a web page. Since 1989, I have been the type of person to stretch the limits of my knowledge and abilities. For instance, I read business, marketing, self-improvement, photography, design, painting, and all sorts of books. I'm enrolled in the New York Institute of Photography and am a member of NAPP which helps me keep current on my photoshop skills.
